Rooted in Heritage, Driven by Experience
Founded in July 2019, Kingdom Falconry was created with one goal: to offer visitors and locals alike an intimate, hands-on experience with some of nature’s most awe-inspiring birds of prey. From Harris Hawks and Peregrine Falcons to Irish Barn Owls and our majestic Golden Eagle, Orla, our experiences are built around genuine encounters—not shows or staged demonstrations, but authentic falconry in its purest form.
We’re proud to offer the Dingle Falconry Experience, now considered one of the top things to do in Dingle. What makes it special? The wide variety of birds we work with, the passion of our team, and the powerful moments our guests share with these magnificent animals—all set against the stunning backdrop of Dingle Harbour.
Meet the Birds
At Kingdom Falconry, our birds are at the heart of everything we do. Each one has its own unique personality, preferences, and story—from the curious charm of our barn owls to the commanding presence of Orla, our Golden Eagle. With over 20 incredible birds of prey in our care, every encounter offers a chance to learn, connect, and appreciate the beauty and intelligence of these magnificent creatures.
Whether they’re soaring high above the Dingle coastline, perched gently on your glove, or calling out from their aviary, these birds are more than part of a display—they’re part of the Kingdom Falconry family. This page introduces you to each of them, so you can start getting to know your favourites before you even arrive.
Rescue
& Rehabilitation
At Kingdom Falconry, we’re committed to the care, protection, and rehabilitation of Ireland’s injured and sick wildlife—especially birds of prey. Every year, we work alongside local wildlife rangers and veterinary experts to help animals affected by modern-day hazards like speeding traffic, wind turbines, pesticides, and power lines. From mud-caked peregrines to weakened kestrels, each bird is given the time, space, and specialist care it needs to recover.
Our goal is always to release these birds back into the wild whenever possible, supporting not just individual lives but the wider conservation of Ireland’s native species. Rehabilitation is an essential part of what we do—grounded in responsibility, respect, and a deep belief in giving every creature a second chance at flight.
Education
Falconry is not just a spectacle—it’s a living tradition with deep cultural roots and valuable lessons about nature, patience, and conservation. At Kingdom Falconry, we believe in using every experience as a chance to educate and inspire. Whether you’re a curious visitor, a student, or a lifelong wildlife enthusiast, we’re here to share our knowledge about birds of prey, their behaviour, their role in the ecosystem, and the centuries-old practice of falconry itself.
Through engaging, hands-on encounters, we aim to foster understanding and respect for Ireland’s raptors and the natural world around us. Our team of expert falconers offers insights into each bird’s unique traits and challenges, as well as the responsibility involved in caring for them. By learning from the birds, we believe our guests leave not just entertained—but enlightened.
