Each of our birds is more than just a beautiful predator—they’re individuals with their own quirks, stories, and personalities. Meet over 20 remarkable birds of prey that make Kingdom Falconry so special—and unforgettable.
Fred
Fred is a saker falcon. He is a great flyer chasing a lure around. This species is the favourite falcon of the Arabian falconers. Origin is Asia and south east Europe. Versatile hunter for ground prey but also birds.

Tom
Tom is a harris hawk, one of many in our collection but quite special. He is the smallest of all his siblings. Often gets scared of things like bikes, wheelchairs, chairs and god only knows what else. Very friendly on the other side. We love Tom.

Leyla
Our native barn owl and one of our younger owls, Layla may be tiny, but this tiny lady has lot’s to say and likes to make sure everyone is listening. Endangered species globaly. We see slow recovery of Irish barn owls in the wild. Feed mainly on rodents, occasionally small birds. Wide spread around the world, on every continent, except Antarctica.

Lilly
Lilly is always happy to come over to you once you have a tasty snack after that it’s time for a nap. Living together with Boreas but is not happy to share meals with him. Found around the northern hemisphere.

Boreas
Our Snowy owl Boreas is a flirty little owl that’ll always give you a hoot every time you walk past him. Arctic owl who migrate south in the winter. Occasionally visiting Ireland.

Bengy
Bengy is a bengal eagle owl. He is Eric’s home bread bird. Large but gentle. Will land on everyone’s fist with grace. In the wild found in southern Asia. Feed mainly on small mammals.

Mark
Mark, our peregrine falcon is small but very impressive in flight. Very fast and dynamic flyer will amaze everyone with his flight ability swiftly passing near spectators heads leaving them speechless. Peregrines are the fastest creatures on the planet able to exceed 200 mph/ 320 km/h. Found globally including in the cities.

Ozzy
Ozzy is our Harris hawk who sometimes does his own things. Prefer to be served food up in the air. Great hawk for a group experience, serving everyone in no time. Quite independent though, will not let you pet him. Origin is America but this species is very popular in falconry in Europe.

Luna
Luna is our most trusted barn owl. Eric’s home-bred, she has a nickname “Diva” as she only does what she thinks is right. If something is different, she won’t fly out from under a canopy. Don’t pet her, if you try, she won’t land on your glove again! Barn owls are widespread around the world, but endangered in some places.

Quentin
Quentin, our small saker falcon will impress you with his ability to fly fast, make high throw ups and tight turns while chasing a lure. He isn’t interested in hunting, which makes our life much easier. Lovely looking falcon, there are even beauty contests for sakers in the middle eastern countries.

Hugo
Hugo is a male harris hawk. Will fly to everyone’s gloved fist no matter what. Eric’s home bred, his mother is 24 years old (2025) and is retired from work or breeding. Harris hawks can live over 30 years in captivity and mid-twenties in the wild.

Buzz
Buzz is the older brother of Luna. He likes to explore the area more than his sister. He is a pale colour barn owl with lovely plumage. Sometimes a bit shy but will always do his job right. Barn owls used to be common in Ireland, but numbers dropped in the last 40 years.

Percy
Percy is a Great Horned Owl. Most of the time you will see him sitting in the corner of his aviary with a grumpy look. Steady and calm.. He is a great addition to our collection. Largest North American owls, wide spread from Canada to Mexico.

Saoirse
Saoirse is a large female Saker falcon. She is a powerful flyer and it is guaranteed she will make a great show while flying. She will perform best in the strong wind, making high throw ups and then dive on a lure. Challenging style for a handler but great to watch. With Saoirse everything must be as usual, otherwise she is getting temperamental.

Fluffy
Fluffy is our senior Eagle owl. Erick’s first owl. Knows his job well, but everything there must be as usual. When surprised, just freeze and won’t move. Not a fan of the neighbour’s dog.
Eagle owls are found in Europe and Asia but not found in Ireland.

Louie
Louie is our dark Barn owl. Making lots of noise but you can always count on him. Origin of this type is in central europe. Slightly smaller than Irish barn owls. The origin of Banshee myth comes from a screeching barn owl. This might be scary at night time.

Jill
Jill is one of our chatty Harris hawks, she likes to chat away to herself when she sits on your glove. In the wild found in central and south America, in the US only along the border with Mexico. She is a great hunter, always looking out for the rabbits.

Bonnie
Bengal eagle owl. Bonnie is a brother to Bengy. Very young with lovely, distinctive eyes.
He has great potential to become a valuable team member. But so far he is always looking for food. He is Eric’s home bred from rescued parents.

Gus
Peregrine falcon.Gus’ nickname is “Grumpy Gus” He is a fantastic flyer when he is keen. Other days he might have just spent time on a house chimney looking around for more interesting things. The fastest bird on earth, always worth seeing.

Orla
Orla, our golden eagle may look daunting to some but is actually a sweetheart that loves a bath on a rainy day and only likes the tastiest of snacks. It Is widespread around the northern hemisphere. One of the strongest birds of prey, able to kill the prey up to the size of a small deer. Very impressive up close.
